Neo-Bauhaus Design – In the late 20th century some Neo-Bauhaus design features emerged in Jerusalem. The revival of the elegant 1930s style was in reaction to the expressive and sculptural Neo-Oriental and Brutalist styles, which dominated Jerusalem’s urban scene since the early 1970s. The return to the lighter Bauhaus features, included use of linear motifs, streamline balconies, vertical thermometer windows and horizontal concrete shades.
