Colored glazing in Jewish neighborhoods was prevalent mainly in prominent synagogues and Yeshiva buildings and very rarely in residential homes, except in some opulent mansions in the Bukharan Quarter. The synagogue windows of the Great Yeshiva in Me’a She’arim, built at the end of the 19th century (see Rhombus Design Motif I).
