Political graffiti changes, from time to time, in accordance with the reaction of the Ultra-Orthodox community to current events. In the late 1970s the community protested against Mayor Teddy Kollek (Illustration I), and the Minister of Religious Affairs (Illustration II), who approved the archaeological excavations in the City of David, where bones, possibly the remains of Jews, were uncovered.
