Rectilinear Geometry Design Influences – The local rectilinear geometry of the Jerusalem Bauhaus/Art-Deco styles was influenced by designs such as the stained glass panel by Dutch artist Theo van Doesburg.

Typical rectilinear geometry symbolizes purity and clarity, which are part of the Bauhaus aesthetic ideology. The decorative iron door of the 1930s Salameh Apartment Building, 21 Balfour Street, Talbieh Neighborhood (see Rectilinear Geometry XVII).
