The battlements of the Old City wall, built in the 16th century, are a design motif used in buildings of later periods. It is a visual symbolic link between the historic past of Jerusalem and a house built by the Muslim Abu-Shakr family, in the late 19th century. The building serves as the Jerusalem Artists House. 12 Shmuel HaNagid Street, City Center.
