“Eben-Ezer”, meaning with God’s help, is the name of a number of Christian houses in Jerusalem. Matthäus Frank’s House, 6 Emek Rephaim Street, was the first house built by the German Templers in the German Colony in 1873.
“Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpah and Shen, and called the name of it Eben-ezer, saying: ‘Hitherto hath the Lord helped us’.” (I Samuel, 7:12)
