The Franciscan order in Jerusalem is the guardian of the Holy Places in the Holy Land. The emblem combines, inter alia,  the Jerusalem Cross, with the dove, symbol of the Holy Spirit. The French Sisters of St. Joseph of the Apparition School for Girls, Jaffa Gate, Old City.
