Twin Windows. From the late 19th century, and until early 20th century, traditional Arab houses had a variety of window types. The most common window, both in rural and urban houses, consisted of twin windows, with a relieving arch above them, and a ventilation opening. Similar windows were also common during this period in Jewish and Christian houses in the city.
