Decorative Feature. Wooden fretwork is an uncommon ornamental feature in Jerusalem’s urban scene. The few examples of this beautiful decorative element are found on the façades of a few Arab houses, from the late 19th to early 20th centuries. They are extremely rare in Christian and Jewish houses.
