The glazed ceramic tiles of the fountain alcove at the Rockefeller Museum (1938) were designed and produced by the Armenian master David Ohanessian. His work was influenced by the artistic patterns of the ceramic workshops in Iznik and Kutahya in Turkey (see Islamic Influence VI).
